Becoming a Christian is not about becoming religious.

Rather, it's about coming into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ, is the eternal Son of God. He became man, without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished and fully completed our redemption through His death on the cross, making eternal life in heaven possible for anyone who places their faith in Him and His completed work.
He loved you so much, He was willing to prove it by giving His life for you!

Have you heard the good news about Jesus Christ?
Before you can understand the good news, you have to understand the difficult situation the Bible teaches we are in. The Bible teaches we are all sinners, separated from God, and facing eternity in a place called Hell. The Bible describes this difficult situation in the following verses:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“But your iniquities [sins] have separated between you and your God,” Isaiah 59:2

“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23

None of this is good news! To make matters worse, the Bible says the good things we do (our righteousnesses) are not able to make us right with God:

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…”
Isaiah 64:6

In summary, we see the Bible teaches we are all lost and in desperate need of salvation from the judgment of our sin. But, there is good news…

The good news is that Jesus Christ has paid the price for our sins. When Christ died on the cross, He took the punishment we deserved…He died in our place.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“But he was wounded for our transgressions...the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity [sin] of us all.” Isaiah 53:5,6

This is tremendous good news! The fact is that Jesus Christ has paid for our sins and made a way for us to receive a full pardon from God. The Bible describes this salvation as a “gift”.

“…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

The fact that salvation is described as a gift is very significant. You can't earn a gift. A gift is not something you work for. A gift only needs to be received.

How can you receive this “gift” from God? The Bible teaches we receive salvation when we make the decision to place our full trust in Christ’s death and resurrection as our only way to be made right with God.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Friend, your sin has placed you in great danger. You need to recognize this fact and place your trust in Christ to save you. Will you make that decision today?
